About in brief

Migration governance is among the most complex areas of contemporary public policy. Our project approaches it comprehensively and across disciplines.

Why this research

Existing research in Croatia has largely addressed the philosophical and political aspects of migration. We widen the lens to the full governance system.

Interdisciplinary approach

Legal, sociological, political, philological, security and communication perspectives are combined to understand every segment of migration governance.

Expected outcomes

A synthesis of findings into concrete proposals and recommendations for more effective and sustainable migration policies aligned with the EU acquis.

Effective migration governance requires more than policy on paper — it depends on the norms, institutions and decision-making processes that turn intention into practice.
